Part of a book proposal, aimed at grades K-5, with 26 individual, accurate renderings of prehistoric animals. One of the joys of childhood is pronouncing difficult words (and amazing your friends and parents...) not to mention the joys of...D I N O S A U R S! The proposal is comprised of these five renderings which have been slightly anthropomorphized in the animals' faces to make it just a little more engaging, since there are plenty of dinosaur books showing them as the fearsome beasts that they were. I wanted each prehistoric animal to relate to the viewer with a glance or smile instead of just sulking about, tearing up and eating other animals. Call me a romantic...
